We would like to welcome DUNMORE TO IMPRESS to our ranch. This gorgeous buckskin dun stallion has excellent conformation with great bone, straight legs, strong hindquarers and chest, and a beautiful head. DUNMORE has been UC Davis tested homozygous for the black gene, which means he will never produce a red foal.

The Buckskin horse is not a mere "color." Buckskins, grulla, and duns are noted for many qualities that are not characteristic of other types of horses. Their color is an indication of the superior genetic heritage they posses. Buckskins have been long noted for their superior qualities and strength. They have more stamina, more determination, harder feet, better bone, and are generally hardier than other horses. A buckskin with weak or spavined legs is a rarity. "Tough as wet leather" is a good description of the true buckskin.

Our intentions for this fine stallion are to finish his training, and start his career as a show horse. He will be started on cattle, then patterned on the barrels. Only a few select APHA and AQHA mares will be bred to him during this time. DUNMORE has already proven himself to be a wonderful color producer, so watch for his babies in the show pens.
